House Renovation

Jamie and I recently started renovating our 80+ year old house.  AND that gave me and idea to start a crafting blog... since- well. My life sort of revolves around my family and creativity.  So our little house.

it is little.  but it is amazing.  built in bookshelves. crown molding. some very beautiful accents.  We just finished putting the last piece for laminate flooring down in the whole house (minus the bedrooms).
* It is swiftlock cafe rustic oak and it is beautiful.  - I love the shine from the natural light in our living room now.

anywho.
The dining room {which has been our biggest undertaking} is complete.
We painted our very dark paneling with Sparkling Lake by Valspar.  It is amazing.  We repurposed our old 70's crown molding and used it in our kitchen and bought new for the dining room.  The best part was getting rid of the "awkward wall" separaring our dining room from the bathroom.
We have so much more room now.
I went with teal/blue/mint, gray, and white in the dining room.  And so far I am in love.
We replaced our pantry door, bedroom door, and the floor just completes the new look.
I found a lovely wooden shelf (with hooks ) from HomeGoods and aside from hanging the new hardware and curtains we are wrapped up in the dining room.

Next project is the living room.  The floors are down and I've already picked out some awesome pieces and a color scheme.  I want to use blue, coral, and green to brighten up the whole space since the floors are "so dark".

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these little shutters but the wooden crate I plan to stamp with
Roberts 711-414.  Our last name, our wedding date, and jo's birthday.

I wanted
to incorporate my love of owls in just about every room of our home.  I like them so much because they remind me of my mom.
